Nurulhuda singing "Opps I did it again" on Singapore Idol.

I'm usually cautiously optimistic when it comes to the talent that Singapore Idol has to offer. I mean every year there will probably be one or two contestants that I wouldn't mind rooting for (usually those with a certain tone to their voices, but ALWAYS those who can sing as opposed to those who are 'Marketable') But like every great talent that has been showcased on the idol stage, Nurulhuda was the third person ousted out of the top 12 (or 13), leaving the good-lookers-with-less-talent to run the show. This can only mean one thing and one thing only; Singapore is run by starry-eyed 12-16 year old girls who can only vote because their parents are the ones paying the monthly telephone bills. (I do hope they wouldn't mind buying lame-ass, crappy albums that this season's winner produces, when their starry-eyed daughters beg them to)

Paramore's new video, Brick by Boring Brick.

I ABSOLUTELY love Paramore's new video, Brick by Boring Brick, off their new album, BRAND NEW EYES. The video Is a bit enchanting and macabre at the same time. Well, the music's pretty much Paramore, no surprise there. Its very much like "That's what you get", "Miracle" or "Let the flames begin" from their second album, RIOT. Did I mention how much I love their video? =D

The end for Loreal Pure Zone Deep Exfoliating Gel Wash.

Three days ago, my world came to an almost screeching stop when I walked into Watsons and realised that my cleanser of 4 years, Loreal Pure Zone Deep Exfoliating Gel Wash has left me. He left me stranded and alone with no goodbye notes, no smses and no warning signs whatsoever, All that were left are lingering memories of the great (and not so great) times we spent together. All those times that I would introduce to him new people in our relationship, all the toners, moisturisers and essences that would come and go, or sometimes just breeze through our paths. There are definately times that we would have our quarrels (which great relationship doesn't?) and he would accuse me of cheating on him with Ginvera Green Tea Body Scrub or even worse, Colgate Total, but every single time we would work things out, and our relationship would be stronger then ever.
Staring at the other cleansers that Watsons had to offer, i couldn't help thinking if it all began when i mentioned to him on one of our shower dates that my skin is getting a bit dry from him and jokingly suggested that he might be the reason for my recent breakouts. All I received was a silence. I pressed on his body until he ozzed a bluish liquid with equally blue microbeads, shrugging off the silence, as i started lathering him all over my hands, before lathering him onto my face in circular upward motions. I should have known better. I should have known that he was as sensitive as my skin was.

Those times i'll probably never get back.

I left Watsons, empty handed, lonely and confused. I couldn't help wondering if there was something i could do to get Loreal Pure Zone Deep Exfoliating Gel Wash to come back. Maybe it was too late. Maybe I should just move on with my life. As I walked away, with a heavy heart,, thinking about all the memories that we've shared, i could only whisper six words that i thought he'd appreciate if he could hear me.

"We were great while it lasted."
